Cal. 60. S# NSN. 12" rnd. smooth bore bbl. Flat lockplate w/ beveled edge. Double neck hammer. Bridled pan. Lock is marked w/ "crown GR" below pan. Marked at rear "tower". Bbl. marked on top w/ "crown" proofs. Buttcap has "crown arrow" marking on right side. Brass furniture w/ iron belt hook. Pin fastened walnut stock. Stock is marked under forend "QD 1-7". Grip is marked on right side w/ "BO broad arrow" "crown 1802". Ramrod is original type w/ brass tip marked w/ "crown GR". CONDITION: stock has worn original finish w/ staining & handling marks throughout. There is a crack extending from underneath the sideplate to the grip area to the rear of the lock recess plus another long crack on the left side of the forend extending from the muzzle to the forward end of the sideplate. These cracks appear to have been repaired in a professional manner & are not open. An additional crack appears on the left side between the sideplate & bbl. Although repaired has a more opened appearance. The iron parts show 60% original brown finish w/ wear, light oxidation & patina. Brass furniture has been cleaned leaving a bright appearance w/ wear & scattered sm. handling marks. Lock does not hold on half cock. Dark oxidized bore w/ extensive pitting throughout.
