Cal. 45 ACP. S# 3174. Bbl. 6". Mark VI double action revolver originally mfg. by Webley in 1918 in .455 Webley, and later converted via shaving of the rear face of the cyl. to accommodate .45 ACP ammunition. Revolver exhibits standard factory markings and British proofs overall. Metal components exhibit a reapplied dull blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, featuring a lanyard stud, ring, and cord on the butt. Left grip panel is marked "S", with "M" marked on the right. Pinned blade front sight with U-notch rear sight on bbl. latch. Bbl. and cyl. do not match the frame. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their reapplied dull blue finish, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting overall. Bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show light smoothing and some scattered handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. (26-1605/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
