Cal. 22 LR. S# BR100009. (original S# 23385). Rifle has CAI import marks on barrel for "BRNO MODEL 1" with receiver S# BR10009. Bbl. 23". Blade front sight & 2 leaf rear sight. Some of these were intended for export to East Germany (DDR) & are found with the marking "tgf", remnant of wartime arsenal coding "Tschekosclovakische Gewehr Fabrik" (Czechoslovak Rifle Factory) such as this example is on the grooved receiver over chamber. At the request of the German Wehrmacht as they needed a standard .22 training rifle, the design of the Model 1(ZKM-451) began in 1943/1944 with production beginning in 1946, just after WWII. They were highly valued for their accuracy. Birch stock w/ BRNO buttplate & schnable nose. Cloth sling. MAGS: 1 - 5 rd. CONDITION: good to very good blue with muzzle wear & scattered marks.
