Cal. 30. S#. 758274. Bbl. 24". There aren't many firearms from the military past of the United States that are as recognizable as the rectangular receiver & perforated barrel shroud of the Browning model 1919. In order to own a legal machine gun there are fees & a fairly lengthy amount of paperwork that aren't necessary for traditional, Title I firearms like hunting & target rifles. This particular Browning was manufactured by David Adams & based on the war proven, original, as a functional semi auto only. This gives you the opportunity to own such an exciting piece of history w/ out the extra time & expense. This firearm transfers just like any other semi auto firearm. Rear of the iconic, circular vented barrel shroud is the front sight, a folding post, w/ an elevation adjustable ladder rear sight, marked out to 1800 yards. It may be fired utilizing a 1919A6 style bipod (not included) or mounted to a tripod w/ the proper cradle assembly. It currently appears to be chambered in 30-06, through several parts appear to be Israeli in origin, usually indicating an original 308 chambering. Bolt marked 7.62. 30-06 barrel & booster.. Common chamberings for this system can include 7.62 NATO, 8 mm Mauser & U.S. 30-06. Parkerized finish on all exposed metal surfaces. Right sideplate markings include: "N0. 758274, US. INSP. AB2/ BROWNING SEMI-AUTOMATIC./ U.S. CAL. 30. M1919A4". RIght sideplate marked on bottom, beside ejection port "DAVID ADAMS MCMINNVILLE, KY. 75824." Original parts kit of unknown origin though several parts include Israeli markings which would be common for military .308 chambered military surplus parts. Mounted on tripod, serial number 129511, manufactured by the Appliance Manufacturing Company & dated 1942. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Pintle, T&E Mechanism, M2 Tripod, CONDITION: Parkerized finish on exposed metal parts retains full coverage, though displays some lightly scattered drag lines under close supervision. Tripod painted green w/ typical finish wear. Everything appears functional & correct though unable to confirm through live fire. Bright bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (25-1488/JZ). MODERN. $3,000-$5,000.
