CHEST & AMMUNITION BOXES. Browning Model of 1918 belt loader mfg. by J.W. MFG. Co. in 1942. Loader retains a thick layer of grease overall. Transit chest is marked "CHEST D35395/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ U.S.". Loader ammunition chute is not present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 3 250-rd. cloth belts, 2 unmarked wood ammunition boxes. CONDITION: loader retains a thick layer of dark grease overall, with some exposed areas exhibiting areas of oxidation. Transit chest exhibits scattered handling marks and cracking, with several losses present on the left side. Cloth belts exhibit some staining and age related discoloration, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Ammunition boxes retain traces of their former pain, with cracking and some gouges present overall. Leather handles on lids are no longer present. (02-22476/MLW). $300-500.
