CASE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 2T46044. Bbl. 19 3/8". SA-22 semi-automatic rifle manufactured by FN in Belgium and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company in 1962. The top of the barrel is marked with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN BELGIUM", with the caliber designation stamped on the left at the breech. Receiver, bolt, and barrel exhibit Belgian proofs. Receiver features light foliate engraving with a wavy line border on the left and right sides. Metal components exhibit a blued finish. Checkered wood buttstock with grooved steel buttplate, and checkered wood forend. Receiver is mounted with a Bushnell Scope Chief 22 4x20 scope. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Hartmann brown leatherette case containing original factory paperwork. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish overall, exhibiting some light superficial marks from handling and storage. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise very good overall. Scope retains a clear image. Case shows some mild exterior wear, with brass components exhibiting some mild oxidation and discoloration. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Gun Sport Ltd. owned by Jon R.
