MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. .303 British. S# 15L6278. Matches on Receiver, Bolt, Mag. and Forend. The rifle was given an added number of 12610 which also appears on the receiver, bolt and magazine. Adjustable rear sight marked "F" graduated to 1300 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver marked on left side "NO 4 MK 1 *" "LONG BRANCH" and is dated 1942. Cut -out type bolt head release. Butt socket marked on left side with "Broad arrow". Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked under grip with "Broad arrow " and "View mark". Grooved rear hand guard. Brass trap buttplate. Khaki web sling. UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 8" Quadrangular spike bayonet marked "G crown R" "NO 4 MK1 SM". Round metal scabbard with Khaki web frog. black plastic oiler in butt. MAGS: one matching 10 round detachable. CONDITION: Stock set has very light wear and scattered handling marks. Metal retains 70% of its lightly worn original finish. Very good shiny 2 groove bore.
