Cal. 31. S# 7318. Bbl. 6", octagon, with a London address. Five-shot round roll-engraved cyl. Iron backstrap and large round trigger guard. Blue and case-colored finish. 1 piece of walnut grips. Left bbl. flat and cyl. have British proof marks. UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: proper wooden case with blue velour-fitted interior. The inside of the lid has directions for loading and cleaning the Colt revolver. The case contains a 2-cavity iron bullet mold, a powder flask, a cleaning rod, a nipple wrench, and an Eley Bros. cap tin. The exterior case lid is stamped with the initials "JF" and shows scattered scratches and marks. The case interior shows moderate wear and fading. Bbl., frame, grip straps, cyl., and wedge have matching numbers. CONDITION: very good. Bbl. retains 60% fading blue. Cyl. has faded to brown, retaining a very clear scene. Grip straps retain a 30% finish. Grips show light wear and handling marks. Sound action. Bore retains strong rifling. (01-24430/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
