Cal. 28. S# 2959. Bbl. 3 1/2” octagon w/ Hartford address & cone style brass sight. Round five shot cyl. w/ cabin & Indian scene roll engraving. Blue finish w/ case colored hammer. 1 piece walnut grip. Mfg. 1855. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period casing w/ oval brass nameplate in lid. Burgundy cloth fitted interior showing light wear. Case contains a Sykes pocket size powder flask, 2 cavity Colt marked iron mold, turnscrew, cleaning rod, cap tin & round balls. CONDITION: fine. Metal retains over 50% lightly faded blue showing areas of loss & small marks. Grips have worn finish w/ handling marks, small dents & chips around butt. Cyl. exhibits substantial side play. Bore has lightly worn rifling w/ light pitting. (01-22866/JB). ANTIQUE. $2,500-4,000.
