WITH IVORY GRIPS. Cal. 45 ACP. S# C116845. Bbl. 5" with "S" immediately in front of legs, and "P" further forward; no other marks plus fully blued. Mfg. 1919 with slide having proper markings. Colt style engraving with bordered scroll vine engraving having leafs. Sights are standard half moon front and U notched rear. Underside of slide has "Y" and "3" on section between breech face and firing pin retainer. Fame has "S" directly behind disconnector. Trigger guard has VP proof at left front plus inspection "98" on its left by mag. release; right front has script "C". Right side of frame under grip near top has engraver's "MVS" and an underlined date of "60". Period features of checkered wide spur hammer, flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, short horn on grip safety plus checkered slide lock, thumb safety and mag. release. Grips are double diamond pattern checkered ivory. MAGS: 1 unmarked 2 tone 7 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: red period correct case with Colt label under lid; about good exterior with wear and edge scuffs. Very good maroon velvet interior with shadow line insert for pistol and its very good full box of US Cartridge Co. 45 ACP FMJ ammo. Also, Colt screwdriver / takedown tool, vintage oil can and bore brush. No key for lock. CONDITION: bore is fair with wear and even light pitting. All blued finish after engraving with all markings amazingly clear and sharp. Overall appearance is near excellent and very attractive. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows.
