DERRINGER. Cal. 41. S# 4296. Standard configuration of Moore's Civil War patented pistol, "NATIONAL ARMS Co, BROOKLYN, NY" on top 2.5" barrel flat, brass frame, spur trigger, center mounted hammer, knurled barrel release button on right. Nicely engraved gold plated frame with large eagle motif, and engraved silver plated barrel. CONDITION: very good overall, barrel retains traces of silver plate with balance silver/gray patina. frame returns about 20% plating. Strong action, good rifled bore. Custom mahogany casing has exotic grain, blue baize lining is worn and soiled, fitted for 6 cartridges, functional key, 2-piece brass cleaning rod. (01-23020/JS). $1,500-2,500.
