Cal. 36. S# 435. Bbl. 6 1/2" round w/ New York address & bead sight. Five shot fluted rebated cyl. Full silver finish. Backstrap is inscribed "Sgt. Henry Bartholome/Co. D Light Infy.". 1 Piece walnut grip. Bbl., frame, grip straps & wedge have matching numbers. Major parts have a dot below S# signifying silver finish. Mfg. 1861. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: included are copies of Henry Bartholome's discharge papers dated 22 April, 1862 & form No. 5 showing pay from 21 February 1862 to 22 April 1862 at $17.00 per month. Period style presentation box. Brass oval on lid is engraved "BMS". Red cloth fitted interior showing some fading & wear. Case contains small eagle flask, 2 cavity mold, cap tin & case key. Also included is one 5 round package of combustible envelope cartridges. Also included is information from a Pennsylvania dealer dated 1982. CONDITION: bbl., cyl., frame & loading lever retain about 50% silver w/ balance fading to gray. Grip straps show 20% silver acquiring a dark tarnish around trigger guard bow. Grips have added varnish over light wear & handling marks. Sound action. Bore retains strong rifling. (01-22867/DS). ANTIQUE. $4,000-6,000.
