Features include selective ejectors, double triggers (front triggers are hinged), and gold pin type cocking indicators. Long tang trigger guards have rolled right edges. Actions, forearm irons, and trigger guards have full coverage arabesque scroll engraving with floral highlights and fancy borders. Splinter forends and straight grip stocks of fine European walnut features tear drop points and wrap around point pattern hand checkering. LOP; 14 7/16" over 1/4" grooved plastic buttplates. Roberts & Sons, 22 Wyvil Road, Vauxhall, London makers label. Also included are optional custom 7/8" leather covered recoil pads for both guns. Paperwork with the guns includes an invoice from J. Roberts & Sons dated May, 2003 showing a price of $22,500. CONDITION: Both guns have over 98% bbl. blue showing slight carry wear with small marks from forend contact. Actions retain over 95% case colors with slight fading in carry areas. Blue forend irons & trigger guards show some carry wear. Stocks & forends have very good original finish & checkering showing scattered handling marks & small dents. Actions are tight & on face. All bores are near excellent. The case is in very good condition showing some handling marks on leather exterior. A delightful set of Spanish best, mfg. by Pedro Arrizibalaga of Eibar, Spain in 2003. (25-4323 & 25-4324/DS).
