Third Model Thuer derringer mfg. by Colt. Top of the bbl. is marked "-COLT-" in an unstylized font. Brass frame and steel components exhibit a nickel plated finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. Standard fixed half-moon blade front sight. Checkered high spur hammer with early pattern flare on frame around bbl. screw. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood display case featuring a red felt lined fitted interior and a 10-rd. cartridge block with 10 cartridges. Lid features an unsigned German silver oval escutcheon. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory nickel plated finish, showing a few small spots of light edge wear, some small scattered spots of light bubbling, as well as a couple of spots of minor flaking, with some superficial handling marks present overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting a few small spots of apparent light to mild surface oxidation, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips are very good, exhibiting some light superficial handling marks, with a small crack present on the butt of the left panel.
