REVOLVER. Cal. 32, S# 234. This revolver is featured in June 1996 Gun Report article by Mike Bricker, in standard configuration, 6" blue finish, one line address, patent marked cylinder. Right side of frame below cylinder has had "KITTREDGE & CO" markings filed off. This revolver was made in summer of 1861. Mounted with varnished rosewood grips. Revolver is housed in a compartmented mahogany case with brown baize lining, with green label Winchester illustrated cartridge pack. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of June 1996 Gun Report article "Smith & Wesson and Kittredge" which shows this revolver, but was in different casing. CONDITION: fine overall, complete & matching serial numbers and assembly markings, retaining 60% original blue with losses mostly on grip frame. Grips retain most of their factory varnish. Casing is sound and solid, 2 long aged hairline cracks in lid, lining soiled, stained, rubbed through where muzzle & hammer spur fit in case, cartridge pack is good and retains 5 cartridges. Functional key. The revolver when pictured in Gun Report article was in different casing. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker. (01-26447/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
