Late 19th, early 20th century, American. The lamp cast in the form of a maiden in flowing robe, her hair fashioned in long braids, posed on a hexagonal cast base. She stands with her right arm extended above her head, ,a three arm Victorian light held in her right hand. The scrolled arms each fitted with a cranberry red glass shade with white flower and leaf with ruffled edges centering a fourth socket and shade elevated about the arms. This spelter example likely a newel post lamp for a grand stairway in the entrance hall of a wealthy estate. SIZE: 63" h overall including shades. CONDITION: very good to excellent.
