Cal. 7x57. S# B8998. Bbl. 22 1/2". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on turned down bolt, trigger guard & receiver. Other visible parts are mismatched. Rifle appears to be a converted 95 Chilean long rifle to short rifle config. by an unknown user. Receiver ring has Chilean crest. Left side of receiver has Loewe markings. Blued finish. M1912 Chilean Mauser stock with bottom mounted sling swivels. Stock & hardware display a poor metal fit. No cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows a few chips, scattered dings, handling marks & scratches. Front end shows scattered cleaned areas & receiver shows a couple notable patches of pitting. Balance of metal retains strong traces arsenal blue with scattered thinning, fading, oxidation & usage wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered oxidation & pitting but good rifling. (01-29112/MJC). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
