CARBINE. Cal. 7mm Mauser. S# 9503. All visible numbers match. Bbl. 22". Import mark at left front. Rifle purchased in 1930's for the elite Carbineros. Receiver ring marked on top "CHILE" "crossed rifles" "ORDEN Y PATRIA MODELO 1935". Receiver bridge marked w/ "Mauser banner". Left receiver rail marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.B. OBERNDORF A/N". Right side of receiver ring marked w/ German proofs. Left side marked "Seria C. Ch. NO. S#". Turned down bolt handle. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1400m. Inverted V front sight w/ protective ears. Cleaning rod & bayonet bar are present. All milled furniture. Correct side sling. Matching walnut stock & handguard. Buttstock marked on left side w/ crisp Chilean crest; boxed 1935 & circular acceptance mark. Right side of buttstock has unmarked steel disk. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear & scattered handling marks throughout w/ original finish. Approx. 3" crack on lower left side of grip. Metal retains 75% original blue w/ thinning & light wear.
