Overall length: 38”. Blade length: 31 3/4". Blade has a single wide fuller with the first 11 1/2" having a blued finish with gold highlighted etching. Etching includes various military & foliate motifs. Gilded brass hilt with an eagle head quillon. Downturned guard features an American eagle perched on an anchor. Decorative knuckle bow has a central oval with a winged victory. Eagle head pommel. 2-Piece mother of pearl grips. Brass mounted iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade is quite nice with vibrant blue & gold highlights. Hilt is a bit loose and has a very dark patina with virtually no evidence of original gilding. Grips have a tiny bit of chipping on the edge. Scabbard has an oxidized finish, but is undamaged. (02-19228/BF). $500-700.
