REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# C434577. Bbl. 5" pinned. Serrated blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Post-war M&P four-screw hand ejector. Backstrap has markings that read "CIVIL DEFENSE PROPERTY B.V.H.". Blued finish with a case-colored trigger & hammer. Checkered walnut grips with a stamped, matching-numbered right panel and silver S&W medallions. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1942-dated green canvas military-style holster with cleaning rod. CONDITION: grips show heavy checkering wear, a few dents, some dings, and handling marks. Hammer & trigger retain much of their case colors with some light oxidation and operational wear. Balance of metal retains 70% original blue with scattered edge wear, fading, and some operational wear. Very good+, bright bore. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker.
