ARMY REVOLVER & MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER. Cal. 44. S# 65921. Bbl. 8”. Remington in standard military configuration, originally blued, now nickel plated, 2 piece grips, inspector’s cartouche on left. 1860 Cavalry saber made by “Mansfield & Lamb”. Bridle leather sword belt has nice enlisted eagle model 1850 buckle, holster, pistol cartridge box, cap box, sword hangers & over-the-shoulder strap. CONDITION: good overall, revolver has no discernible external markings due to plating, mechanically fine, good rifled bore. Saber has gray blade, last digit in date not readable, missing leather & wire wrap, sound scabbard. Leather is mix of original Civil War issue and reproduction holster & straps. Belt & buckle (matching benchmarks), cap box, & cartridge box are original. (01-22312/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
