REVOLVER. Cal. 30 for cup-priming cartridge. S# 5988. Oct. 3.5" bbl. Rib has brass blade front sight & "MERWIN & BRAY FIREARMS CO. NY" marking. 5 Shot cyl. marked " PATENTED JULY 12, 1859 & JULY 21, 1863". Silver plated brass frame w/ spur trigger. Matching numbers on bbl., cyl. & 2 piece rosewood grips. CONDITION: Balance of barrel has brown/gray patina appearance with traces of blue, spots of corrosion & handling marks. Frame has traces of silver finish acquiring a pleasing patina; butt of frame shows heavy scratches that obscure the serial number heavily. Good grips with marks & right escutcheon loose. Bore shows rifling & pitting. (01-27248/MD). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
