Scarlet body 3.5” in front, 4.5” in back is sewn to a 1 1/4" tall deep dark blue band edged w/ two flat silver bullion bands w/ single bands rising on sides to crown w/ single band around top & doubled smaller silver bullion forming classic quatrefoil centered on the crown. Leather visor has plain unstitched edging. Black silk lining w/ drawstring, crown liner is frayed showing a partial gold embossed maker’s mark, 1 1/8" sewn black leather sweatband, no chin strap. CONDITION: very good overall, good color, stitching sound, few sm. insect holes, bullion perimeter edging to crown is in 3 pieces w/ fraying. Inside top of crown, lining w/ maker is frayed w/ reductions as seen in photos. (02-13581/JS). $1,500-2,500.
