2 CARTRIDGES & A FRATERNITY PIN.
1) ACCOUTREMENT PLATES. All plates are excavated & include a belt plate with puppy paw back. / 3 Cartridge box plates. / 1 Crossbelt plate. / 1 Brass skin from an accoutrement buckle. / 1 Fragment of an accoutrement buckle. CONDITION: puppy paw belt plate has a chocolate brown with minor damage between the “U” and the “S”. Hooks all present. 1 Accoutrement plate has a beautiful smooth chocolate brown patina with both hooks. 1 Accoutrement plate has notable damage to the rim & no hooks. 1 Accoutrement plate has a green patina with no hooks. Crossbelt plate has a sm. hole in the center with a dark patina & no hooks. The skin is 85% present. The fragment is just the letter “S”.
2) CARTRIDGES. This pair of cartridges includes 1 Civil War era Henry cartridge & 1 Civil War era Maynard Carbine cartridge. CONDITION: both cartridges are non-excavated.
3) FRATERNITY PIN. A gold fraternity pin for a Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. Pin depicts shaking hands with fraternity letter above & the date “1820” below. Design is a 6 pointed star over a hexagon. 4 Points of the star have the following Greek letters: omega, phi, kappa & alpha. The back has a T bar pin attachment & is engraved, “J.L. Stoddard”. CONDITION: pin shows light overall wear but is missing its pin on the reverse. (02-16650-3/BF). $600-900.
