This varied lot consists of a cannon ball approx. 3" in diameter. / Scissor type bullet mold. / Excavated portion of a gun bbl. / Excavated trigger guard. / Bayonet for a dbl. bbl. shotgun. / Early unmarked bayonet for a lg. caliber musket, likely American. / 2 Civil War era nonissue holsters. / Pistol flask for an 1851 Colt. Flask was made by American Flask & Cap Company. It is pictured in Riling Figure 791. / Civil War enlisted man’s belt & buckle w/ a cap box & carbine box mounted on the belt. / 45-70 Bayonet & scabbard w/ “MASS” on the swivel butt. / Wooden shield w/ several excavated iron relics mounted to the front including a musket bbl. & a flint lock plate. / $100 Confederate States bank note issued on June 24, 1862. CONDITION: condition varies greatly in this lot. Excavated items have thick crusty patinas. Leather generally shows moderate to heavy wear. Flask has a slight dent & charger is a bit loose. $100 Note has losses to the edge. (02-15427-2/BF). $400-700.
