Cal. 52, S# C 98297. Standard configuration, 22" barrel, Lawrence patent rear sight, "SHARPS RIFLE / MANUFG CO / HARTFORD CONN", and at breech "NEW MODEL 1863". Both sides of frame have more patent markings. CONDITION: good to very good overall, metal has gray patina, good markings, pitting on saddle ring. Stocks are sound, old refinish, no discernible cartouches. Mechanically fine, good rifle bore with pitting. PROVENANCE: Lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker. (01-24922/JS).
