Cal. 52. S# 45446. 22" Rnd. bbl. has long range ladder sight at rear. Repeating action w/ tubular magazine through butt is marked "SPENCER REPEATING" "RIFLE CO., BOSTON, MASS." "PAT'D MARCH 6, 1860". S# is at rear. Backspring lock is unmarked. A saddle ring is in bar/sideplate on left side. Walnut buttstock w/ steel buttplate has sling loop at bottom. Forend attaches to bbl. w/ screw at rear & spring retained band at front. CONDITION: good. All metal parts w/ old cleaning to gray/brown w/ considerable scattered pitting on bbl., lock plate & buttplate. Stocks w/ old oil refinish has no noticeable markings. Good to very good bore w/ scattered pitting. Mechanically good. (01-20322/MGM). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
