The soldier also has an over-the-shoulder sling with buckle attached to a cartridge box. He holds a musket in his right hand & has a standard issue kepi on his head. The image is cracked near the center. / 1 Ruby 9th plate ambrotype of a seated Union Infantry Seargent. His coat has blue tinted Seargent stripes, and he holds his kepi by the brim in his right hand.
