This lot includes an M1851 officer’s cavalry hat insignia. / 1 curry brush with embossed logo on top. / 1 large brass snake buckle with both keepers attached. / 1 brass snake buckle with no keepers. / 10 excavated round balls in 69cal. / 1 paper wrapped 69 cal. cartridge. / 1 Virginia staff button with “EXTRA QUALITY” backmark. / 1 cleaned excavated plain clip-corner buckle with no hooks. The buckle has begun to acquire a nice patina. / 1 brass belt sizing keeper. / 1 yellow cavalry hat cord. / 1 Civil War or earlier 2” section of train rail. / 1 excavated lightweight sash buckle with an eagle on the front and an adjustment keeper. / 1 interlocking 2-piece brass star buckle on a leather belt. It is likely this buckle is of post Civil War manufacture. CONDITION: all items generally show light wear. Excavated items have an oxidized patina. Leather belt shows moderate wear.
