Cal. 45 ACP. S# 81-0002750. Bbl. 5.75". The RPB Industries M10, often mistakenly referred to as the Mac 10 (evidently sounds cooler to the Hollywood crowd), was originally offered in semi-auto as an open bolt system, just like its predecessor, the M10 SMG. The BATF determined that the open bolt semi-autos met the criteria of a machine gun under the "readily restorable" clause and banned future manufacture, grandfathering those that were assembled on or before June 21, 1982, under ATF ruling 82-8. Like everything else, the Federal Government tells citizens they cannot have it; interest in the early originals immediately skyrocketed, and they have been considered highly prized collectibles for over 40 years now. Barrel threaded with traditional Cobray 45 ACP threads. Factory-protected post front and fixed rear peep sights. Rotating cocking knob locks the action closed as an additional safety. Primary safety is located on the front right side of the trigger. MAGS: one steel 10 rd. CONDITION: some of the light exterior finish shows scratches, as common with these pistols from stacking, and is more obvious on the lower receiver than the upper. Bright bore with strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Terrence McCarty. (24-247/JZ). MODERN. $500-800.
