MEETING”. This framed print measures 37 1/2" x 29 1/4". The polychromatic print depicts Robert E. Lee on horseback and Stonewall Jackson on horseback, meeting for the last time before Jackson’s untimely death at the Battle of Chancellorsville. The bottom of the print reads “THE LAST MEETING OF GENERALS ROBERT E. LEE AND STONEWALL JACKSON ON THE EVENING OF THE DAY BEFORE THE BATTLE OF CHANCELLORSVILLE MAY 1st 1863 From the Original Painting by JULIO of New Orleans LA.” This print was entered according to an act of Congress in 1873 and republished by Paul B. Victorious, Charlottesville, Virginia. CONDITION: print shows minor fading and traces of foxing. Frame shows light wear overall. (02-22743/BF). $100-200.
