Cal. 44. S# 129032. Bbl. 8" round w/ gain twist rifling & German silver blade sight. Round rebated six shot cyl. w/ naval engagement scene roll engraving. Blue finish w/ case colored frame, loading lever & hammer. Brass trigger guard. 1 piece walnut grip has lightly visible cartouches on both panels. Bottom of grip is stamped w/ inspector's mark "H". Inspector's marks D or E are found on other major components. Mfg. 1863 during the American Civil War. CONDITION: very good. Bbl., cyl. & backstrap retain 60% dull lightly worn blue showing edge & carry wear w/ scattered marks. Frame & hammer retain 70% lightly faded case colors. Loading lever has visible case colors in protected areas. Brass trigger guard retains faint traces of original silver finish. Grips show light wear w/ scattered marks. Smooth action. Bore is generally bright w/ sound rifling showing small spots. (01-24187/DS). ANTIQUE. $4000-6000.
