CASE. Both guns: Cals. 36. Bbls. 4 1/2" octagons w/ New York addresses. Round rebated five shot cyls. w/ stagecoach scene roll engravings. Blue & case colored finish w/ silver finished brass backstraps. 1 piece walnut grips. (1) S# 14002. Blade front sight. Bbl., frame, grip straps, cyl. & wedge have matching numbers. Mfg. 1862 during the American Civil War. (2) S# 15323. Cone style brass sight. Bbl., frame, grip straps, cyl. & wedge have matching numbers. Mfg. 1863 during the American Civil War. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: added period style casing of fancy walnut w/ brass trim. Faded cloth interior shows wear. Case contains pocket size American eagle flask, 2 cavity mold, cap tin & one wrapped five round package of combustible cartridges. CONDITION: (1) very good. Retains over 30% case colors. Bbl. & cyl. blue fading to gray. Cyl. retains very good scene. Grip straps have traces of silver finish. Refinished grips show handling marks & small dents. Sound mechanics. Lightly pitted bore retains strong rifling. (2) very good. Bbl. retains 30% lightly faded blue showing spots of pitting & having small dents in wedge areas. Cyl. has faded to gray & retains 90% scene. Frame has some lightly visible case colors on left side. Grips have worn & blistering finish showing handling marks. Sound action.
