HISTORY. Cal. 41 Colt. S# 9490. Bbl. 6” w/ etched panel cal. marking & semicircular sight. Round six shot long flute cyl. Full nickel finish. 2 piece checkered hard rubber rampant colt grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: this desirable revolver belonged to Texas Ranger Tommy Degraffenried & was at once time displayed in the Texas Range hall of fame in Waco, Texas. Letters from Gary Burghoff & T. N. Taylor detailing history of the revolver’s prior ownership. Colt mfg. co. letter listing the following information: “Serial Number: 9490”, “Caliber: .41/c”, “Barrel Length: 6’”, “Finish: Nickel”, “Type of Stocks: Rubber”, “Shipped To: B. Kittredge & Company”, “Address: Cincinnati, Ohio”, “Date of Shipment: April 22, 1880” & “Number of Same Type Guns in Shipment: 13”. Also included is a Mexican style double loop leather holster w/ stamped borders. Holster is in good condition. CONDITION: very fine. Retains over 70% original nickel finish. Grips show light wear.
