Standard configuration of Colt's first double action revolver, 4.5" barrel with two line Hartford USA address, etched panel on the left "COLT DA 38", blue and case color finish, mounted with one piece checkered rosewood grips. Manufactured 1880 based on serial number. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, retains about half of its original factory blue and muted case colors, grips are fine with sharp diamond point checkering and most of their factory varnish. Mechanically fine, crisp shiny rifled bore. (01-26626/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
