PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# C177107. Bbl.5" in the white replacement marked "-COLT 45 AUTO-" that is noticeably throated & polished; blued link & pin. Mfg. 1934 for Argentine Navy having "MARINA ARGENTINA" on right side of slide between cocking grooves & front of port along w/ Colt legend plus rampant Colt forward of Naval marking. Consignor notes state 1 of 600 contracted to Argentine Navy during 1935 w/in contract S# range of C177000 to C177800. Left side of slide has Colt patent legend markings. Trigger guard bow has VP proof & inspector mark. Top of frame w/ "S" by disconnector. Correct wide spur hammer plus checkered slide stop & thumb safety w/out undercuts. Smooth flat mainspring housing w/ lanyard loop. Fully checkered oiled walnut grips. Thin semi circular blade front sight & U notched rear. Slide numbered 177302 under firing pin retainer. MAGS: 1 good blued 7 rd. w/ matte base marked "COLT / 45AUTO.". CONDITION: about good appearance as reparkerized w/ numerous wear & rub marks throughout. Markings light but readable. Commercial blued replacement mag. release, hammer strut, extractor, hammer pin & sear pin. Stiff resistant thumb safety likely due to Parkerizing or possibly replacement parts. Hand worn grips w/ all attachment screws having damaged slots plus lower left screw is stripped. All aspects of bbl. near excellent. (21-3718/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
