Cal. 45 ACP. S# C121410. Bbl. 5" w/ "C" on left leg, "1" on right plus in front of legs: "&", "P" & "3" (guess, as not very readable). Mfg. 1920 & often referred to as 1911 Commercial; "C" prefix in S# used 1912-1950. Double diamond grips (used until mid 1923, then fully checkered) having 13 rows between diamonds. Proper slide markings for period plus half moon front sight & drift adjustable U notched rear; correctly w/out number plus "3" on underside near breech face. Left front of trigger guard w/ VP proof plus "W", right side has "82" & "S" by disconnector. Long smooth faced trigger, w/out A1 finger cuts (started mid 1923), flat mainspring housing w/ lanyard loop, & checkered controls (undercut only on slide lock). Wide spur hammer w/ border checkering. Spring guide w/ bullet shaped front like National Match pistols. MAGS: 3 two toned 7 rd. w/out lanyard loops, TOTAL; very good unmarked, good Barnes & Kobert w/ some light oxidation & almost good unmarked. CONDITION: very good overall appearance w/ original finish. Light scratches throughout plus mottled appearance on right front of slide being almost patina. Occasional spots of pinprick oxidation. Noticeable function wear on bbl. exterior. Very good grips w/ light hand wear. Fair darkened bore w/ wear & even pitting. (22-6383/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
