Cal. 45 Colt. S# 139170. Bbl. 7 1/2". Six shot fluted cyl. Blue & case colored finish. 2 piece checkered hard rubber rampant colt grips. Right rear side of trigger guard has star or ampersand marking to indicate factory refinish. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unnumbered 1 piece box w/ picture label. Also includes a letter from Colt Archive Properties LLC detailing the following information, "Serial Number: 139170 / Caliber: .45/c / Barrel Length: 7 1/2" / Finish: Blue / Type of Stocks: Not Listed / Shipped To: Simmons Hardware Company / Address: St. Louis, Missouri / Date of Shipment: March 25, 1891 / Number of Same Type Guns in Shipment: 10". CONDITION: finely restored revolver. 95% reblued finish showing cyl. drag line w/ spots of corrosion on bbl. Action & hammers retain 95% case colors showing small spots of corrosion. Serial number on backstrap is partially removed. Very good grips. Action is tight retaining all 4 clicks. Bore has a lightly frosted appearance w/ lightly worn rifling.
