Cal. 36. S# 37386. This is an honest original and authentic 3rd model 1851 Colt navy revolver made in 1855. Gun is in standard configuration of other Colt Navy revolvers. CONDITION: good to very good overall, all matching S#s other than wedge. 7.5" barrel retains traces of blue finish in protected area, overall toned gray patina, crisp 1-line New York address with dashes. Frame is marked with characteristic small early "COLTS PATENT". Cylinder is matching gray with no discernible rolled Ormsby naval battle scene. Backstrap and trigger guard retains 20% silver plate. Grips are sound, well fit, refinished varnish. Mechanically gun is functional, crisp rifled bore. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker. (01-25032/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
