Cal. 38 WCF. S# 263712. Bbl 4 3/4". Bisley Model single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1905. The left side of the barrel is stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F.", with Colt's 2 line address stamped over the top at the breech. Left side of the frame is stamped with Colt's 2 line patent information, followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Frame exhibits a case color hardened finish, with remaining components being blued or nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2 piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Interior of left grip panel is hand inscribed "EBL". Blade front sight with frame notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. CONDITION: frame retains traces of its original factory case color hardened finish, with the balance exhibiting a gray/brown patina overall. Blued components retain large amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (23-1412/MLW).
