Cal. 32 WCF. S# 298988. Bbl 4 3/4". Bisley Model single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1907. The left side of the barrel is stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 32 W.C.F.", with Colt's 2 line address stamped over the top at the breech. Left side of the frame is stamped with Colt's 2 line patent information, followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Right side of frame is stamped "D.K.B.", with the left side of the grip straps being engraved "D.K.BARRETT". Bottom of the grips are hand inscribed "DKB", with "D Barrett" and "Coyle, Okla" inscribed on the interior of the panels. Frame and hammer are case color hardened, with remaining components being blued. Trigger guard and rear grip strap have been reblued at one time. Frame is mounted with 2 piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. Grips are matching via the last 4 digits of the serial number that is handwritten on the interior of the panels, with the full serial number having been inscribed, also on interior of the panels. CONDITION: Frame and hammer retain scant traces of their original case color hardened finish, with the balance exhibiting a gray/brown patina, with some scattered areas of pitting. Blued components exhibit wear and thinning overall that shows through to a gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (23-1419/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
