Cal. 38 Spl. S# 46823LW. Bbl. 4". Cobra double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1956. Left side of the bbl. is marked "COBRA" above the cal. designation, with Colt's single line address marked across the right. Left side of the receiver is marked with the Rampant Colt logo above an inscribed "DLH." Aluminum frame exhibits a black anodized finish, with steel parts exhibiting a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Blade front sight, with frame square notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting edge wear, some spots of wear and thinning, as well as some spots of oxidation. Butt has been cleaned at one time and is in-the-white. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a few marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Bill Peterken. (24-6104/MLW).
