GENERAL ANTONIO LOPEZ DE SANTA ANNA. These certifiably antique ivory grips for a M1860 Army revolver have a Mexican eagle & snake relief carved on the left side. There is family provenance that states that these were the property of the famous or notorious Mexican General Santa Anna. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a 1931 typewritten, notarized & signed letter stating that these grips belonged to Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna & were given to the mother of the signer of the letter directly from General Santa Anna. CONDITION: grips have an early patina & have numerous scratches from heavy use. There are also several age cracks particularly at the butt. (02-14007/BF). $800-1,400.
