REVOLVER. Cal. 22 LR. S# 578MOS. Bbl. 4 3/4" Mfg. 1970 in celebration of Missouri's Sesquicentennial; 3,000 units. Blued finish with gold plated fluted cylinder, loading gate, ejector housing, ejector rod head, trigger, hammer plus screws for ejector housing and trigger pivot. Smooth walnut grips with gold Colt medallions and grip screw plus light scroll engraving on butt. Dates on barrel of 1820 and 1970 along with commemorative markings (all gold filled). Maine entered the union in 1820 as a free state under the Missouri Compromise with Missouri as a slave state. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: most distinctive Colt branded display case allowing viewing of the revolver from the front or top. Removable top plate allows for locking; base has outline for enclosed gold commemorative coin. Interior base and back are dark red velvet with balance of wood construction. Top and front viewing plates have commemorative info. Brass hook on back case panel engages chamber section at front of cylinder for invisible retention; near excellent case set.
