Cal. 36. S# 50535. Bbl. 7 1/2". This Frankenstein features an original Colt 1851 Navy frame with brass trigger guard and backstrap numbered to another 51 (S# 19635) and mated with a modern Navy Arms barrel and wedge and yet another period loading lever numbered “41566” Hammer and cylinder appear to be modern replacements. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked brown leather open top and bottom holster. CONDITION: period metal surfaces have dings, dents, scratches and pitting. Contemporary parts retain strong finish with the exception of the cylinder which is heavily scratched. Bore is good, bright and strongly rifled with light pitting in the grooves.
