SHOULDER STOCK. Cal. 44. S# 68959 (All matching). Bbl. 8" standard configuration marked w/ New York address. Case hardened frame of later 3 screw style has cuts in recoil shield for shoulder stock. Colts patent markings are on left side, but there is no “US” stamp present. One piece walnut grips have remnants of inspector’s markings & are in standard brass trigger guard front strap & steel backstrap. CONDITION: good to very good, complete. Iron & steel parts show traces of original finish where protected but are nearly all gray to brown patina w/ a lg. number of marks & scratches. All markings are legible. Cyl. retaining most of its scene. Grip straps are uncleaned. Brass w/ mellow mustard patina. Grips show old chipping & a crack at front which shows considerable handling during period of use. Dark, rusted bore. Safety pins are mashed flat. Revolver cocks. Bolt drops, but cyl. will not rotate. Hand missing. (01-19991/MGM). ANTIQUE. $900-1,500.
