LETTER. Cal. 38 Colt. S# 64312. Bbl. 3 1/2" w/ semi-circular sight & etched panel cal. marking. Six shot fluted cyl. Nickel finish. 2 piece checkered hard rubber bird's head grips. Mfg. 1888. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: converted hardwood box w/ brass fittings & added green cloth compartmentalized interior. Case contains 1 two-piece box of UMC 38 long cartridges, turn-screw, cleaning rod, ebony wand, glass ink bottle, oil bottle along w/ accessory bottle. Also included is a Missouri Pacific Railroad Co. badge for traveling passenger agent dated 1921. Colt factory letter providing the following information: "Serial number - 64312 / Caliber .38/c / Barrel Length: 3 1/2" / Finish: Nickel / Type of Stocks: Not Listed / Shipped To: Hibbard, Spencer, Barlett & Company / Address: Chicago, Illinois / Date of Shipment: March 27, 1888 / Number of Same Type / Guns in Shipment: 25". CONDITION: fine retaining over 90% nickel showing dark spots in areas of fading. Clear etched panel cal. marking. Grips show light wear. Sound action. Very good bore. (01-25231/DS).
