REVOLVER. Cal. 41 Colt. S# 145389. Bbl. 6". Model 1877 "Thunderer" double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1903. Bbl. is marked with the cal. designation on left and 2-line address across top at breech. Left side of frame with 3-line patent information and poorly stamped encircled Rampant Colt logo. Case color hardened frame and loading gate, with blued bbl., ejector rod housing, cyl., and grip straps. Frame screws and rear strap of hammer exhibit a nitre blue finish. 2-piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight with frame V-notch rear sight. Bullseye ejector rod head. Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard / front grip strap, and rear grip strap. Grips are matching via a very lightly etched "389" on the interior of the panels. Cyl. is unnumbered. CONDITION: frame and loading gate retain traces of their original case colored finish, with the balance fading to a mottled gray/brown patina and exhibiting scattered areas of light to mild pitting. Blued parts retain fair to fair to good amounts of original finish, showing areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with scattered handling marks and light surface oxidation overall. Grips straps show wear, thinning, and light oxidation, with the balance of the rear strap exhibiting a brown patina. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of moderate pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics in SA and DA.
