WITH FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 25 ACP. S# 92267. Bbl. 2 1/8". Model 1908 Vest Pocket semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Colt in 1913. Left side of the slide is marked with Colt's mfg. and patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE 25" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered black hard rubber grips that feature the Rampant Colt in front of a stylized "C." MAGS: one 6-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory letter indicating that this example was the sole pistol shipped to "C.B. Mellon" (address unavailable) on May 26th of 1913. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting edge wear, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as flecks of light surface oxidation overall. Grip safety exhibits wear and thinning through to a gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered small spots of dark pitting while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips exhibit some scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as some smoothing, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
