Cal. 45 ACP. S# 735552. Bbl. 5” Springfield type 13 pre-WWII field replacement marked “S P” on left leg. Mfg. 1941 as part of Army contract; 34,756 units. Correct markings throughout yet slide is unnumbered; started at 710001 to approx. 1140000. Left front of trigger guard has VP proof & “T”; right side numbered "60". Top of frame by disconnector has “G” & boxed “R.S.” (also by slide lock). Keyes Fibre large ring plastic grips. Square notch rear sight. Wide ramped serrated blade front sight. Type 5 arched mainspring housing w/ 8 ribs & lanyard loop. Checkered slide lock & safety; both w/ out undercuts. Finish appears reparkerized yet no arsenal rework marks. MAGS. 2 fair 7-round w/ light to medium oxidation; unmarked & General Shaver. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Sears 1942 brown leather US holster in generally good condition showing wear & flap having crazed appearance. CONDITION: very good overall appearance as refinished having high point holster like wear plus from functioning. Slide has traces of prior pitting; mostly top right front. Noticeable bbl. function wear at ejection port. Extractor proud of slide; likely replacement. Very good grips w/ slight hand wear. Very good bright bore w/ slight fouling in corners of grooves.(23-439/NW). $1,000-1,500.
